A Letter from the New Economic Development Director
Dear Lowell business community,
I am writing to introduce myself as the new Economic Development Director for the City of Lowell.
I have worked in Lowell’s Department of Planning and Development for almost 10 years, most recently as the Community Development Director. During that time, I managed the City’s federal block grant programs and worked with Lowell’s social service agencies and community partners. From my work in community development I understand the importance of quality affordable housing, reliable infrastructure, and education and workforce training in building a strong and healthy local economy.
As both a resident and employee in Lowell I’ve come to appreciate the role that strong partnerships and collaborations play in the City’s many successes. With that in mind, I look forward to working with you and other members of the business community to support our educational institutions and emerging industries; build a vibrant downtown; enhance our neighborhood business districts; and create a community that supports our skilled workforce.
I hope to have the opportunity to meet with you as I settle into my new role. In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me at 978-674-4252 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
