City Council Agenda June 9th 2015 – Summer Session #1

The Summer sessions have begun (meetings the 2nd and 4th week of the month) and this week has some MAJOR votes for the Council

1) Ordinance-Create new Department entitled Health and Human Services
2) Ordinance-Create position of Deputy Director of Administration and Finance and establish salary
3) Vote-Authorize filing of special legislation relative to the appointment of a non-civil service Fire Chief in
the City of Lowell
4) Vote-Approve PILOT Agreement-Boott Hydropower, Inc

Not much of Interest under Councilor Motions but this one caught my eye. Why? and What is the reason for doing it?
C. Kennedy – Req. City Mgr. consolidate each of the collective bargaining agreements into one document as part of the current contract negotiations of each bargaining unit.
