Patricia Sullivan Talty new LHA Chairperson!

Press Release: Lowell Housing Authority Annual Meeting


At it’s recent Annual Reorganizational Meeting (March 9th) the Lowell Housing Authority Board of Commissioners unanimously elected Patricia Sullivan Talty as Chairperson. Sullivan Talty an Attorney, Professor and active member of many socially conscious civic boards accepted her new role as chairperson and looks forward to a productive year at the agency.

Chairperson Sullivan Talty commented that, “It’s an exciting time to work with the LHA. Gary and his team are amazing at their ability to do more with less, while maintaining high quality housing and services for residents. I’m also looking forward to seeing progress on the upper Merrimack Street corridor project .”

The Board also unanimously chose Bob Mc Mahon as Vice Chair. Mr. Mc Mahon has previous LHA Board experience serving the LHA. Mc Mahon looks forward to working the Executive Director and staff on Veteran’s issues and continuing its progress as a high performing agency.

In further action the Board of Commissioners adopted Executive Director Wallace’s proposed agency goals that address economic development along the Merrimack street corridor, the creation of additional handicap accessible units, finalizing the agency’s solar net metering project, improving the financial ratio and staff development.
