$942,033 Free Cash for Lowell finally Certified

Late Yesterday Afternoon the DOR finally certified Lowell’s free Cash at $942,033

That’s the good news but the concern is still high that with a $300,000,000 + budget the city has less than 1% free cash while the State recommends 3% – 5%

Dracut which has its own financial struggles had over $3,000,000 in Free Cash so did Tewksbury, Chelmsford over $2,000,000 and Tyngsboro over $$1,000,000

Lawrence under State Control over $7,000,000

I've been interested in Schools since I worked at the Greater Lowell Tech and substitute taught in Dracut. I've followed the finances and issues with the Lowell School for the past 8 years while blogging and contributing to Saturday Morning Live! Currently serving my 1st term.
