City of Lowell Special Events Coordinator Henri Marchand is back this week with a list of activities here in Lowell this weekend and coming up this summer:

Goings on in Lowell this weekend
Tonight, the Lowell Summer Music Series fills Boardinghouse Park with the harmonies of the Indigo Girls; Saturday it’s the Gary Hoey Band
The Congress of Future Medical Leaders (June 25-27) and the Congress of Future Scientist & Technology Leaders (June 29-July 1) at the Tsongas Center – Restaurants can expect an increase in customer traffic as these events will have meal breaks from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m.
Commuters should be aware that there will be increased vehicle traffic in and out of the area during these events.
Lowell Walks—Saturday’s topic, The Irish in the Acre with Dave McKean. Walk begins at 10 a.m. at the National Park Visitor Center on Market Street
Franco-American Week continues through this Saturday
The Lowell Greek Festival offers up 3 days of Greek culture Friday through Sunday at the Hellenic American Academy grounds

Every Friday beginning July 1, the Lowell Farmers’ Market brings fresh, local produce and more to JFK Plaza
Monday, July 4–Lowell’s Independence Day Celebration—Family Fun and Fireworks, at Lelacheur Park (rain date, Tuesday, July 5)
Beginning July 6, the Lowell Summer Music Series Kids Shows, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 11 a.m. at Boardinghouse Park
